Billy
EssexTTS Ambassador
I'm an Ambassador of TTS because boxing gave me focus, ADHD gave me fire, and electrics taught me precision.
An electrician with fast hands and a love for boxing — I got the spark in my work and the fire in my fists.
The Teacher's Surgery is part of a wider network of trusted voices in education, safeguarding, and community support. Here you can meet the partners who share our commitment to honest conversations and practical guidance.

Advice & guidance for special educational needs
SEN Bytes provides specialist advice and guidance across all areas of Special Educational Needs, in line with the SEND Code of Practice and the Children's and Families Act 2014. We work with Local Authorities, parents, educational settings, and wider agencies such as the NHS and Social Care — supporting everyone involved in improving outcomes for children and young people with SEN.
Ambassadors carry the spirit of The Teacher's Surgery beyond our team — real people with lived experience who champion honest conversations and practical support in their own corners of the UK.

TTS Ambassador · Orwell Scholar
Catching up taught me more about persistence than being ahead ever would.
I joined my school partway through, after moving from Ghana, and spent a while just finding my footing. Sticking with it led to becoming Senior Prefect, and eventually a full scholarship as an Orwell Scholar to Eton College. I want to bring that same energy to supporting other students through TTS, because I know what it's like to start behind and still get somewhere.

Community and support for prison-leavers
Outside The Block's aim is to build networks of community and support for prison-leavers so we jumped when we found One For All. Having worked with young adults inside the criminal justice system, we want to build on the work done and intentions set while doing time as although prison often feels like an 'end' it can also be a beginning.

Mentoring, outreach & safer communities
Streetfathers Global CIC is a community-led organisation dedicated to empowering young people, strengthening families, and creating safer communities.
Founded on the belief that every young person deserves guidance, opportunity, and positive role models, we provide mentoring, outreach, education, personal development programmes, and community support initiatives designed to help individuals realise their full potential.
Our team combines lived experience, professional expertise, and a genuine passion for service. We work alongside schools, families, businesses, community groups, and local authorities to create pathways that inspire growth, resilience, leadership, and positive change.
We provide essentials for schools — a laptop, books, pens. Simple items that make a real difference when a young person is trying to learn, grow, and feel part of their school community.
Laptops
Technology that opens doors to learning, research, and opportunity beyond the classroom.
Books
Reading materials that build confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.
Pens & stationery
The everyday tools every pupil needs to take part fully in school life.
Our belief
At Streetfathers, we believe prevention is more powerful than intervention. By investing in young people today, we help build stronger communities tomorrow.
Our community partners join the annual One For All event alongside families, educators, mentors, and social workers. It is a warm, practical gathering where connections continue long after the day ends.
About One For AllWhether you are a parent, teacher, or young person looking for guidance, The Teacher's Surgery offers workshops, mentoring, and practical support.
